Bio

Coach Bryce Jacobson takes the helm of the men’s basketball program this season after a coaching career in Alaska and California and playing career that included a Northwest Athletic Conference championship as a member of the 2011 Pirate men’s team.This year was a homecoming for the Palmer, Alaska native who played at Peninsula in 2009-10 and 2010-11 and winning the title under head coach Lance Von Vogt. Coach Jacobson went on to complete his degree at the University of Alaska, graduating in 2019. During his time as a student at UAA, he spent four years coaching high school basketball in Palmer, before taking an assistant coaching position at William Jessup University, re-uniting with head coach Lance Von Vogt, who is now the Warrior VP of Athletics. At William Jessup, the Warriors put together a program-best 30 wins and trip to the NAIA Quarterfinal in 2021-22, and followed that up with another playoff run in 2022-23. Coach Jacobson has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and is currently completing his master's in business administration.
